Mount Ida High School participated in several activities for Going Gold! the week of Sept. 23 – 27 for Pediatric Cancer Awareness. Students, faculty, and staff participated in a variety of dress-up days, donated money for pediatric cancer research, purchased items to support pediatric cancer awareness, and just went all out Gold for kids with cancer.
Each day, 47 children are diagnosed with cancer in the United States, which means more than 17,000 children in the U.S. are diagnosed each year. The average age of a child diagnosed with cancer is 6 years old. MIHS went gold to raise awareness about Pediatric Cancer!
