BBES Celebrates Freedom Week

Every 3-4 years, BBES take a trip to Mountain Harbor with their 4th – 6th  grades to Celebrate Freedom Week, Servicemen, and Patriots.

Mountain Harbor staff prepared an educational morning for the students from the fire house and equipment to the fire and rescue boats, to the military museum to a windy view of beautiful Lake Ouachita to even an unexpected side visit to the horse riding stables.

Thank You Mr. Bill Barnes and the Mountain Harbor Crews for your hospitality and pouring into the next generation.

Kindergarten – 3rd stayed on campus and toured fire trucks, an ambulance, State Police, local police, and US Forest Service.

They celebrated Freedoms, Patriots, and Servicemen. As a whole, the K – 3 students started their day with the raising of the American Flag, the Pledge of Allegiance, Star Spangled Banner, and a talk of what the American Flag really means. It is not just colorful fabric arranged in stars and stripes, but instead a reminder of the sacrifices of men, women, and families that have given us those freedoms.
