Did You Know There are Compulsory Attendance Laws in Arkansas?

All states have requirements for school age children to attend school whether it is a private, religious, home school or public school. In Arkansas, children ages five to seventeen are required to attend school. There are only a few exceptions to this rule (Ark.Code §6-18-201 ). One of the requirements is that the parent/guardian "shall enroll the child in and ensure the attendance at the public, private or parochial school. (Ark.Code §6-18-210).
